Mozilla have just released version 7 of Firefox. The web browser can be downloaded right now by clicking here.
Mozilla has taken the decision that they will be dropping the version numbers from their web browser, Firefox. Mozilla Firefox product manager Asa Dotzer said that the version number of a web browser is not important so as long as a user is using the latest version. This means that Firefox will simply bring up a message to tell you whether or not you are running the latest version of firefox.

for those of you who don’t know, Mozilla(makers of the web browser firefox) have promised that they would release the more significant version upgrades of Firefox such as versions 4, 5, 6 etc. on an increasingly regular basis. This was supposed to be the case for version 5 of Firefox, which was supposed to release on June 21st. However, I have received confirmation that final version of Firefox 5 has just hit Mozilla’s FTP server. Upon further investigation, I can also confirm that Windows, Mac and Linux versions of Firefox 5 are available.
If you would rather be on the safe side, then I suggest waiting as June 21st is just around the corner. On the other hand, if you would like to play with it right now by going to mozilla’s public releases on their FTP server.
