How would you like to have some extra cloud-based storage for free? Well, before I do that, there are a lot of services that give you a certain amount for free to get you going. For example, DropBox gives you 2GB, Windows Live SkyDrive gives you 7GB(25GB if you had been a long-time user of SkyDrive) and SugarSync(5GB). However, there is another company out there called MediaFire. If you sign up for a free account with them right now, then you will be able to get 50GB of storage with them for free.
Some of you might be thinking that this is a site that is used to share content that has been illegally obtained(e.g. movies, music, games etc.), but you can use it as a cloud storage service if you want. That being said, I should warn you that in this case, free comes at a cost. You can only store files on MediaFire for a short time, plus the maximum size for a file is 200MB. In addition to that, you don’t have a dropbox-style client for your computer. You can upload files, but you can’t pull them down unlike Dropbox, SugarSync or other major cloud storage services. I would recommend that you stay away from it.
