Happy New Year for 2013
Adi’s Tech Site: Now with responsive design
I am really pleased to announce that this site now has a responsive design. If you’re on a mobile device, simply turn the mobile theme off using the toggle at the bottom of the page and it will bring you to the desktop version of this site. When you browse from a phone or a tablet in this manner, the website will automatically re-shape itself depending on what kind of device you have. This means that it will still look beautiful no matter what device you have! I’ve tested this on an iPhone 4 and a Samsung Galaxy S3 and I can confirm that it does work.

Adi on Hiatus
There are times when some of us need to take a tiny break for some time. Even us techies need some time to just take a break to focus on other things. This is why I have an announcement to make.
You may have noticed a couple of glitches, this is because I am trying to get the entire website transferred over from one web hosting provider to the other. As you know this can take time. During this move, I will not be posting articles to this site. I want to make sure that everything gets transferred over so that nothing gets overlooked. Until my next article, have a great day whatever you do.
This site is moving
When setting up a new website, one of the things you need to do is sign up for what is known as web hosting. This is effectively the server which stores the files for your website. There are a lot of these web hosting providers out there. This is where I have an announcement to make. I am going to be switching this site to a new web hosting provider.
What will this mean for you, the reader? Well, all of the articles that I have published might become unavailable for a short time. After transferring all of the articles, pictures and pages over to the new website, normal service will resume. If all goes well, you will have nothing to worry about.
note: A web hosting provider is a company that provides you with online storage for your website. All of the pictures, web pages, links etc would be served up from this storage.
Adi on Saturday Morning Tech
Last week, I had the opportunity to guest on a show called Saturday Morning Tech. Every Saturday morning, Todd Cochrane(host of Saturday Morning Tech) and two other guests sit down to talk about the week’s technology stories. In his studio, Todd has two machines running skype running into two monitors which show the guests. I am the one on the top screen. I was guesting alongside Rob Greenlee(RobGreenlee.com) for episode number 50 of the Saturday Morning Tech Show. You can watch the video below or you can download it over on the Geek News Central website. I want to say a huge thank you to Todd Cochrane for letting me come on the show and making me feel welcome.
side note: I apologise for being unprofessional. In the last ten minutes of the show, I had someone who had left their Skype account on my other computer logged on and it started ringing.
MHF Specials Episode 8 Preview
Hi everyone. I want to apologise for not posting any articles over the last couple of days. However, this has been for a good reason. I have been preparing some awesome content for you. During this week, the MHF Tech network went down to the Unified Communications Expo 2012. Taking place in London’s Olympia, this is the trade show where the vendors in the unified communications space show off their wares for 2012 and beyond.
I am pleased to announce that I am going to be recording episode 8 of MHF Specials this weekend. In this upcoming episode we are going to be bringing you our coverage of Unified Communications Expo 2012. We hope that you will be able to join us for what will be a great show.
Social bookmarking returns to Adi’s Tech Site
Social bookmarking is a feature that allows you to share an article or a post that you really like with anyone you know on a social network(such as orkut, facebook, twitter and many others). Unfortunately, due to technical reasons, this feature was disabled. However, it gives me great pleasure to announce that social bookmarking has now been reinstated. I have added buttons at the top and bottom of each article and you can use them to share my articles to the 300+ social networking sites including Google+, Reddit, Digg, Stumbleupon, twitter, facebook and many more.
