So you want to get into podcasting. Well, you have come to the right place to learn the tools and skills you will need to put together a podcast. This will be the first in a series of articles where I will be taking you through what you need to know to get started.
I know that you can go and get this information from somewhere else, so I want to thank you for choosing to get this information from me. See, I have done my research and pretended to be in your position when starting a podcast. A lot of the sites or video tutorials came under the two following problems:
problem number one: People did not explain the different elements of starting a podcast in a way that anyone interested can understand.
problem number two: People did not go into enough depth on their tutorial.
So with that being said, let’s get things started. So now you have decided to do a podcast, the first thing that you have to decide is the topic. What are you going to talk about on your show? This is going to be quite an important decision in the whole process of getting started.
The most important tip I can give you about the topic side of things, is to select a topic that you will enjoy covering. For example, with my podcast network(The MHF Tech Network), I chose to cover technology because I have a passion for it. If you don’t enjoy or like the topic that you are covering, then you are only going to make the podcasting process a whole lot more painful.
At the same time, you have to make sure that you will have enough content to cover in your shows. You will have to make sure that you will have enough content so that you can do as many episodes for your topic of choice.
Thanks for reading this first part in a series of articles that I will continue doing on how to start your own podcast. I would appreciate it if you would click the “Like”, “tweet” and “+1″ buttons and share these articles with your friends.
