Don’t get me wrong, I know that there are a lot of these free RSS feed aggregators that allow you to put all of your news feeds into one easy place. I also know that Google Reader is just one of these solutions.
However, what if you want to read them on the go? That’s where a sweet little mobile app called Flipboard comes into play. Essentially, it’s a content aggregator. The way it works is you can pull in information from your Facebook, Twitter and Google+ news feeds as well as other content sources such as this website or many other websites. In fact, some sites have also optimized their articles so that they will look great on FlipBoard. Best of all, it organises all of your feeds including your social network feeds into a magazine format. Of course you can also add or get rid of certain content feeds as and when you feel like. Since there is a lot of Facebook, Twitter and Google+ integration already, you can retweet, favourite, like or even +1 an article if you want. Oh, and by the way, you can also listen to content whilst reading other content. You can even view youtube videos right from within FlipBoard.
I’ve been using this one for a long time and I have to say that this has been so convenient for me. I love having my social network feeds alongside my other content feeds in one place. I would highly recommend that you make this one of the first things that you download when buying a new smartphone or tablet.
FlipBoard is a free download and you can get it for Android(via the Google Play Store) or on the iOS App Store.
